4 th year at NEDA, but I’ve been in Nash County Public Schools for many years. My last in -person location

was at Edwards Middle School (Edwards Elementary).

Hi! I'm Malissa Lyons and I'm a Science teacher here at NEDA. I graduated as a NC Teaching Fellow from ECU and have taught for 24 years.  I am certified in Middle School Language Arts, Science, and as a Reading Specialist but Science is my favorite and holds a special place in my heart. I've had the privilege to become a graduate of Educator's Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama as well as a National Teacher Advisor for Scholastic Science World Magazine as well.  I'm so excited to work with you and your child this year!
