In 4 out of 5 school shootings, at least one other person had knowledge of the attacker’s plan but failed to report it. People who hurt themselves or others often show warning signs before they carry out an act of violence. #SaySomethingWeek #SaySomethingSavesLives #NCPSchools

Good Evening Bulldogs! We are already in the 3rd month of the 2024 calendar year! This year is zooming by! This week we are celebrating two things… 1. It is Social Worker appreciation week. Thank you, Mrs. Christina Turner, for all that you do for our students and staff. We appreciate you! 2. We are celebrating Dr. Seuss week. There is a flyer on our website that indicates how we are celebrating each day. For more details, please check out our website. Just as an overview: Monday: Dress in one color from head to toe! Tuesday: Wear your favorite hat. Wednesday: Wear your clothes backwards, mismatched, or inside out for Wacky Wednesday. Thursday: Wear your favorite animal print or animal ears. Friday: Dress up like what you want to be when you grow up… for Career Day. This Wednesday our school and district will be conducting a statewide Tornado Drill. Just like we complete monthly fire drills and quarterly lockdown drills, the state mandates we practice a yearly tornado drill. Parents, yearbooks are still on sale until March 28th. You still have time to order one!! More details are on our website or feel free to message your child’s teacher for another flyer to be sent home. Candy Apples are still on sale until March 11th. Like I mentioned last week, these apples are AMAZING. Since I know that the owners are retiring this year, I have bought more than normal. I hope you do too! Parents, we are thrilled to announce that for this quarter, students who reach their AR goal will have the opportunity to participate in a pie in the face celebration. We are encouraging ALL parents to support their child in reaching their AR goal by encouraging them to read nightly to YOU. Last but not least, please remember that we have a CES Parent Survey listed on our website under the “Parents” tab. We would love to get your feedback on how this year is going and what you would like to see in the future. We value your opinions! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening! Take care.

Howdy Bulldog Families! Do you have a favorite Cowgirl or Cowboy hat that you would love to wear tomorrow to school? How about your favorite baseball hat? Tomorrow we are supporting a former Bulldog who is currently battling leukemia. If you are able to donate to the family, then feel free to wear your favorite hat to school. All donations will go directly to the family. Once a Bulldog, always a bulldog! We will be taking up cash donations as well as gas and food gift cards for the family. Lastly, parents, please remember that our first priority is student safety. Please remember that when you are dropping off and picking up your child from the car line, please do not pass cars in front of you unless a staff member wave you around. This is starting to be a major concern. We know that you may be late or need to be somewhere, but that is not worth a life. Please be respectful and responsible. I hope everyone has a great evening and I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, hopefully in hats.

Good Evening Bulldogs! I hope everyone has been able to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather today! I ran and played in the yard so much with my son this weekend that I am sore. So, if you see me limping tomorrow, you know why. Thank you SO much to everyone who came out and gave blood to the American Red Cross this past Friday. Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person- the gift of life. Tomorrow our PTO will start their candy apple fundraiser. Candy apples will be sold for $10 each. I believe this may be the last year for the candy apple fundraiser because the company is possibly closing after this year. If you have never tried these specialty apples, you are certainly missing out. They are amazing!! Parents, this week our second graders will be taking the AIG screener. We ask that students get to school prior to 8am so that testing can start on time. Your child will not be able to enter their classroom once testing starts, until all students are completed. Parents, please mark your calendars for March 4th through the 8th, which is Dr. Seuss week. Students will be able to dress up if they would like, based on a Dr. Seuss theme for each day. Please check out our school’s website for each day’s theme. I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone back at school tomorrow.
