Good Evening, Bulldogs, This is Mrs. Land, the proud Principal of Coopers Elementary School. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended our Open House and took the time to meet your child’s teacher. Effective communication between school and home is vital to your child’s success, and your participation means a lot. Tomorrow marks an emotional day for many. We'll see plenty of smiles and hear laughter echoing through our halls, but we also know there might be some tears—likely from both students and parents. Thank you for entrusting us with your precious children. A few reminders for tomorrow: Doors open at 7:20 AM for students. Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 AM. If your child arrives after 8:00 AM, please ensure they are signed in at the front office by an adult. Breakfast is available for all students in the cafeteria starting at 7:20 AM. If your child plans to eat breakfast, please have them arrive before 8:00 AM to ensure they don’t miss any instructional time. Regarding dismissal: The first 10 days, or until all bus routes are finalized, may take a bit longer than usual. We appreciate your patience during this period and remind you not to pass cars in the parking lot, as safety remains our top priority. We’ll be distributing Fast Pass tickets in the car line this week, both in the morning and afternoon. For every dollar donated to the school, you’ll receive one ticket. You can request as many tickets as you like, and we’ll collect the donations when you return the tickets. Next week, we’ll draw five names from the pool, and those parents will have the privilege of bypassing the car line until Christmas break. They’ll have a designated area, and their children will be brought out to them. We ask that Fast Pass winners arrive at school by 3:00 PM. Finally, a note on student drop-offs: Parents of NEW students in grades 1 through 5 are welcome to walk their children to the classroom door tomorrow. However, if your child attended Coopers last year, we encourage them to begin walking in independently starting tomorrow. After tomorrow, only kindergarten parents will be allowed inside the building. Beginning Tuesday, September 3rd, our kindergarteners will celebrate "Independence Day" by walking to class on their own. Pre-K parents, please remember that our pre-k students start on the 28th, with staggered enrollment from the 28th through the 30th. Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Help Needed!
Good Evening Bulldogs, This is Mrs. Land, the proud Principal of Coopers Elementary school, home of the Bulldogs. I am calling you to welcome you to the 24-25 school year. I am thrilled to get this school year underway. I am calling to invite everyone out to Nash Community College this Thursday from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in the Brown auditorium. Each school will be represented this night along with some of community partners. At our table, you will be able to meet the administration, front office staff, and representatives from the school’s PTO board. Our PTO is planning on having some merchandise for sale as well. Our teachers will arrive back on campus from the summer this upcoming Monday. They will be calling their students on their rosters to introduce themselves next week and to cordially invite them to our open house on August 22nd from 4:30-6:30pm. Remember, if you completed a residency affidavit last year, your child will not be fully enrolled for this school year until an updated one is turned in. Residency affidavits have to be completed yearly. Lastly, if you check out our school’s website, you will find each grade levels' supply list along with an updated calendar of events. We have tried to plan out this school year in advance as much as possible. We will continue to update the calendar of events regularly. Again, I look forward to a wonderful school year and seeing each one of you very soon. Take care.

Good Evening Bulldogs, Parents, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for your unwavering support and partnership throughout this academic year. It has been a year filled with growth, challenges, and achievements, and we couldn’t have done it without the dedication and encouragement from our wonderful parents and guardians. I also want to express my gratitude for your patience as I navigated my way through Coopers this semester. Your understanding and cooperation have been invaluable in making this school year a success and a smooth transition for me from a different school. As we look forward to the summer break, I encourage you to celebrate your child's accomplishments and enjoy quality time together as a family. We are excited about the opportunities and new beginnings next school year will bring and are committed to continuing our mission to provide a supportive and enriching educational environment for all our students. Last but not least, if your child received a paper to attend the opportunity EOG retest, please remember the Reading test is Monday, the Math test is Tuesday, and the Science test is Wednesday. Please only send your child on their designated day(s). Students will be able to enter the building at 7:30 and students will dismiss at 1pm (like an early release schedule). Please contact the school or your child's teacher if you have any questions. Thank you and have a great evening and a great summer!~

Good Evening Bulldogs! As Memorial Day approaches, we want to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. This day is a significant reminder of the freedoms we cherish and the courage of those who have defended them. Please note that our school will be closed tomorrow in observance of Memorial Day. We hope that this long weekend provides you with the opportunity to spend quality time with your family and reflect on the importance of this day. This is our last week of school. Students will have a full day of school on Tuesday. This Wednesday and Thursday are early release days, students will get out at 1pm. For our pre-k students, their last day is this Wednesday. For our K-5th grade students, this Thursday is their last day. If your child is in grades 3rd-5th and they need to take the summer opportunity EOG retest, we will have remediation this Friday, May 31st, from 8-3pm, just like a regular school day. We will have the summer learning assessments starting on June 3rd with the ELA, June 4th for math, and June 5th for Science. As the school year comes to a close, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your support and partnership. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and memorable moments. We are incredibly proud of our students' achievements and the progress they have made. Parents, your involvement and encouragement have been invaluable in their success. We wish you all a joyful and restful summer break. We look forward to welcoming your children back for another exciting year of learning in the fall. Thank you once again for being a vital part of our school community. I hope everyone has a great weekend and Memorial Day.
