Good Evening Bulldogs, We know how exciting a snow day can be for our students! While it's important for them to complete their schoolwork, we also encourage them to take some time to enjoy the snow, play outside, and make special memories. Balance is key, so let them have fun while staying on track with their learning! Wednesday and Thursday will be remote learning days for our students. A CANVA presentation will be shared via ROOMS and posted on our school's website and Facebook page this evening, listing office hours for our Pre-K through 2nd grade teachers. During these office hours, you can click on a teacher’s name in the CANVA presentation to access a direct Google link where they will be online and available to assist with any questions regarding the work sent home. This also applies to our EC, enhancement, and support staff. K-2 students do not need to login to the Google link unless they have questions about their assignment. For students in grade 3-5, their teachers have listed times where they will be teaching their curriculum for the day. We ask that all 3-5 students login during their assigned time if possible. If students are not able, they will need to complete their packet that was sent home with them and return it by next Thursday to get counted present for the remote learning days. More information can be found on the CANVA presentation. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions. Stay warm and stay safe.... and most importantly, HAVE FUN! Good Evening Bulldogs! With the weather today, I hope everyone stayed safe and dry. This Wednesday, our fifth-grade students will be taking their science benchmark, and on Friday, all students will bring home their progress reports. Please be sure to check your child’s bookbag and reach out to their teacher if you have any questions. Also, this Wednesday—it’s GO TIME! We’re kicking off our Booster Fun Run, an incredible opportunity to support our school and help fund field trips and planned playground/exterior improvements. We can’t wait to see our students, staff, and families come together to make this a success. Every bit of participation counts, and it all starts at MyBooster.com, where you can connect with friends and family worldwide to help us reach our $25,000 goal. And here’s the best part—if we hit our goal, students get to SLIME me and Mr. Snowden! I know we can make it happen! Thank you for supporting Coopers Elementary and helping us create incredible opportunities for our students. Let’s make this fundraiser unforgettable! Go Bulldogs! 🐾

We hope our bulldog families have been enjoying the beautiful snow! While it’s been fun to see our community blanketed in white, the snow has had a major impact on local Red Cross blood drives. In Greenville and Nash County alone, the cancellations have resulted in the loss of 150 units of blood, enough to affect up to 450 lives! You can help make a difference by donating at our upcoming Red Cross Blood Drive on Friday, February 28, from 8:30 to 2:30 in the Coopers Elementary School gym. Let’s show the strength of our bulldog community and come together to save lives! Click the link to schedule your donation appointment today: bit.ly/49o8JmT

Good Afternoon Bulldogs, Due to inclement weather, NCPS will have a remote learning day tomorrow, January 23rd. Students will receive their remote learning activities through ROOMS and are expected to complete them and return them to school upon their return. We anticipate returning to school on Friday, which will operate on a 2-hour delay. Students will have up to 4 days to submit their remote learning assignments. Failure to submit the assignments within this timeframe will result in an absence for tomorrow. A copy of the teacher's office hours for tomorrow has been uploaded. CES staff will be available for contact between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM. However, staff will respond most promptly during their designated office hours. Please reach out via a ROOMS message or email. I hope everyone is enjoying the snow and stays safe!
