
Last week, the Benvenue campus became a pumpkin patch as the staff searched for pumpkins that were hidden around the school. Those who found a pumpkin traded the pumpkin for a prize. Congratulations to all our winners!

Tomorrow at BES we will be having a classroom snack at the end of the day. This will be for the students only. Student should not attend school with a costume on tomorrow. Ms. Land, Mrs. Smith, and Ms. Westlund's classes particpated in Special Olympics Basketball on Thursday at Rocky Mount Middle School. We are proud of these students for showing off their basketball skills they had been working on.










We had our first nine weeks PBIS Bobcat Bucks raffle drawing today. Ten students received special prizes. Congratulations to these students for exhibiting positive behavior.





Ms. Lewis' first grade class had a fun time being scientiste and learning today in the Mad Science Lab during their Wit & Wisdom lesson.






The ECPS and NCPS Demerger/Transition Plan Team convened on Monday, October 16, for a joint meeting. They delivered presentations to the Nash County Public Schools Board of Education, Nash County Board of Commissioners, Edgecombe County Public Schools Board of Education, and Edgecombe County Board of Commissioners during the meeting. The submission of the transition plan to the state is scheduled for November 15.


Good Morning, Students riding bus 358 being picked up and dropped off at Sunset Avenue and Third Street will now be getting picked up and dropped off at Brook Valley and South Halifax Road due to construction. Please make arrangements until further notice.

The last day for the Book Fair is tomorrow (Friday, 10/20). Students will be able to shop from 7:20 am-8:30 am or during the library time. If your child has money on their E-Wallet, it will need to used tomorrow. Proceeds from the Book Fair allows Ms. Murphy to purchase new books and other items for our media center. Thank you to all that have supported the Fall Book Fair.


Our students had a fun time at the Main Event today. We would like to congratulate Aubree Jones, who was the top seller. She won $100 when she spinned the prize wheel. Congratulations also goes to Janayah who was the runner-up. Janayah won $75 for being the second place seller. The Benvenue PTO would like to thank all families that supported this fundraiser. We would also like to say a very special thank you to the volunteers that helped with the Main Event and fundraiser pick up. You may pick up fundraiser items from the office on Thursday from 7:30-2:00 & Friday from 7:30-4:00.











Thursday, 10/19 is an early release day for students. They will be dismissed at 1:00. Also, Bus 210 does not have a driver Thursday afternoon. Early checkouts end at 12:30.


We are excited to have the Main Event and Game Truck on campus tomorrow (Wednesday) for our students who participated in the Candyman fundraiser. Grades 3-5 will attend from 1:00-1:45 and K-2 from 2:00-2:45. Parents can not attend this event. In addition, please try to avoid checking your child out during these times so they won't miss out on participating. We will make a post announcing the top sellers Wednesday afternoon.
Candyman orders can be picked up from the multi-purpose room on Wednesday from 3:30 - 6:00 . Please use the carline to pull up beside the multi-purpose room and someone will assist you with getting your order. Any problems with your order need to be reported by the end of the day on Friday so we can get it corrected. If you can not make it during this time, please stop by the office Thursday or Friday from 7:30am - 4:00pm to pick up your child's order.
