Good evening, Eagle Families! This is Principal McGeachy with a few updates for the Week of December 9th – 13th. There are 5 instructional days remaining before our scholars begin semester exams and EOC testing. Scholars have been informed of the testing schedule that begins on December 16th, and their teachers have also shared how they will conduct testing reviews. As a reminder, scholars cannot be exempted from state End-of-Course assessments. Friday, December 13th, will be a full day of instruction for scholars. Dismissal will once again occur at 4:15 p.m. As of this recording, all buses are scheduled to run their routes in the morning. Eagles, Please read the new announcements for this afternoon. The National Honor Society, along with Destiny M., will be collecting holiday cards to distribute to residents at a local nursing home. Feel free to make your own card or place a store-bought card in the basket located near the front office. The last day of collection is Friday, December 13th. Ms. Awadallah will be collecting college textbooks soon! Please see the flyer attached to this message for the dates and times. She will collect the textbooks in Room 3140. Please note that she will not be available on December 16th or December 17th due to testing. Class of 2025 families can purchase a yearbook ad for your graduate. Here are your updates for the first week of December: EOC testing and end-of-semester exams are quickly approaching. EOC testing will begin on December 16th, so attendance in high school and college classes is essential. Panorama Surveys will be administered to scholars during their AVID classes this week. Our Student Government Association has planned a week of themed days to get our scholars in the holiday spirit. Tomorrow is festive sweater day, and themes for the remainder of the week can be found on our website. Friday, December 6th, will be a full day of instruction, and dismissal will occur at 4:15 p.m. As of this recording, all buses are scheduled to run their routes in the morning.
