Good evening, Eagle Families!
This is Principal McGeachy with this week’s updates:
First, I want to congratulate our 10th graders who took the Pre-ACT last week. We had 100% participation, and we appreciate parents’ efforts in ensuring that scholars were in attendance. I also want to thank those parents who volunteered and served as hall monitors during the testing!
The D Building Parking lot has reopened, so parents may resume picking up scholars from that location beginning tomorrow at dismissal.
The Class of 2024 is hosting a Fall Festival fundraiser on October 27th to support their end-of-year trip. Additional details can be found on our web page.
This week, our scholars are celebrating Spirit Week! Each day has a unique theme, and we look forward to seeing our scholars dress according to those themes. Parents, and scholars have been reminded that outfits must adhere to the school dress code policy.
On Thursday, our 10th-grade scholars will visit the campus of North Carolina State University to tour the campus and meet with admissions counselors.
I ask that you continue to monitor our web page for additional updates and please enjoy your evening.

Good evening, Eagle Families!
This is Principal McGeachy with your updates. Although this will be a short week for our scholars, we have quite a few things happening this week:
First, there are no classes for scholars on Monday and Tuesday as we observe Fall Break. We will welcome scholars back to school on Wednesday, October 11th.
Senior portraits for the Class of 2024 will be taken on Monday, October 9th. Scholars should report to the school at their appointed time to take their photos. Mrs. Edwards will be on-site to assist.
The D Building Parking Lot is scheduled to be reopened on Wednesday, October 11th. You may resume picking up your scholar from that parking lot during dismissal.
Our 10th-grade scholars will take the Pre-ACT on Thursday, Oct. 12th. This is a required test, so please ensure that scholars are in attendance.
Grad Bash ’24 Parent Information Session: On Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the Science & Technology Bldg. Auditorium, we will provide information to the parents of our graduating scholars on this year’s planned end-of-year trip to Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.
For scholars taking EOC Courses (Eng II, Biology, Math I, and Math 3), NCPS has revised the promotion standards for high school students. Scholars who are not proficient on EOC tests will receive an Incomplete as their final grade. Those scholars will need to participate in the Summer Learning Opportunity testing session at the end of the school year to have an opportunity to remove the Incomplete. More information will be shared with you in the coming weeks.
Lastly, Report Cards will be available in PowerSchool on Friday, October 13th.
Continue to monitor our web page for additional updates and enjoy your evening!

Eagle Family: This is a reminder that car riders will be picked up in the Science & Technology Bldg. parking lot this afternoon at dismissal.

Eagle Families, I want to remind you that the D. Building Parking Lot will be closed on Oct. 5th and Oct. 6th. This means that scholars must be picked up from the Science and Technology (S&T) Parking lot on both dates. I have attached an aerial photograph for reference. Our staff will walk scholars over to the S&T Parking lot at dismissal each day. In the interest of safety, you are asked to park your vehicle and wait for your scholar to come to your car. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Regards, Principal McGeachy
