Ribbon Cutting Set for $4.7 Million Field House at Northern Nash on June 6

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — Nash County Public Schools will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new $4.7 million field house at Northern Nash High School at 8:30 a.m. Friday, June 6.

The new facility replaces an outdated field house last renovated in 2012, which served only the football program and offered limited capacity. The new building accommodates all outdoor sports, with expanded locker rooms, training areas and upgraded amenities to support student-athletes.

District and school leaders will deliver brief remarks before the ribbon cutting. A guided tour of the facility will follow.

The project was funded through a combination of sources, including $3 million from Nash County, approximately $1.2 million from property sales and a grant, and $500,000 from the district’s capital fund. Construction was completed by Berry Building Group, with architectural designs by Oakley Collier Architects.
